I was really impressed with UCLAs ability to hang within a touchdown at Oregon last week. The Bruin offense is improving week to week and will surprise Stanford here. Kevin Craft had a good performance against the speedy secondary of the Oregon Ducks hitting on 62% of his passes for 288 yards. Crafts improvement along with Norm Chows playing calling will totally exploit Stanfords huge weakness, their poor secondary. Stanford gives up tons of big plays through the air with and undersize and slow-footed secondary. UCLA may have struggled early but they did manage 31 points at home to Fresno St, 27 at home to Tennessee and believe me Stanford isnt much on defense. UCLA also held Oregon to just 2-13 conversions on third down last week, which kept them in the game. UCLA behind their improved passing offense will get the money here. Take UCLA + 2 ½.
