normal white ones just give points, blue increases speed each time, the whiter one which is really white gives the double shot ability, flashing red gives two after images/shadows of the ship that fire shots and are invincible, red bell that doesn't flash gives shield, one more bonus thing the wrapped candy you can find on the bushes that you shoot with bombs in the ground will give you three shots Hope that helps dude!
