I ask the trumpetist to play a note on the mouthpiece using the tongue, it occurs a movement of the muscles backwards previous to the flow of air, then I ask the trumpetist to blow inside the mouthpiece without using the tongue and the physiological response varies greatly. We also do the same at the trumpet and the same happens. The consequences don't need any comment, they hinder his general playing to a great point, and afterwards we may see how the involuntary movement diminishes until its disappearance.

Cuando le pido al trompetista que emita el sonido en la boquilla se observa como el músculo risorio se activa previamente al flujo del aire, posteriormente le pido que haga lo mismo pero sin hacer uso de la lengua, simplemente soplando, la respuesta fisiológica se normaliza. Cuando se hace el mismo experimento con la trompeta ocurre lo mismo.
Si estudiamos con cuidado las imágenes podemos apreciar toda una serie de consecuencias que se derivan del movimiento involuntario y que van a perjudicar seriamente al trompetista cuando practique.
Unos meses después podemos ver como el movimiento involuntario disminuye su intensidad hasta que prácticamente desaparece.
