How long does it take you to bring 50 gallons to a boil with that?

@patonbike
I don't know yet because I was running around ragged on brew day. We brewed like 45 gallons on the big system and the total brew day was less than 6 hours. That's not too much worse than my 10 gallon batches.

That is some serious flame....do you have en estimated BTU?

Hey Tom, those burners are rated around 150,000 each depending on who you talk to. The real world BTU can only be measured by weighing the tanks, burning a while, then weighing again to see how much gas you used over time. The more practical, effective BTU, is measuring how fast the water heats up. In this case, effective BTU is about 32,000 total. It takes 6 minutes to raise 20gallons of water 18F. This was outside, 41F, breezy with no wind guard.

I like the idea of having the power to bring the boil up quick but being able to extinguish 2 of the burners and conserve propane. Nice vid.

I thought about being able to defeat each burner separately but I can turn them down really low as a trio.
