With the prices of gas being the highest in the nation, it costs too much to go on vacation, now you can take a tour without spending money.
In this tour we pass by the Embassy Suites hotel in South San Francisco on the way to Oyster Point in South San Francisco. We make a right turn and see so much new construction going on Veterans Blvd, as we go into the Oyster Point road, looking to the right you see what looks like a small city of buildings. What you are looking at is the Genentech complex. It is big, I used to work there in the computer technology department.
We drive to the waters edge and see the boats docked in the marina. You can come in your own yatch, dock it and go to the SFO airport in 5 minutes flying to another far corner of the world. Too bad I don't have time right now, it must wait for later.
Before we leave Oyster Point we see the sign declaring South San Francisco the birthplace of bio-technology. I am proud that I worked at Genentech helping to make medicine to cure cancer. I still have friends working there. As you may know my mother died of cancer in 2000.
The tour continues by getting back on the freeway 101 going north into the city of San Francisco.
