  • Hi Quidditch910, the following is taken from chalkhills org.

    ¨Demo version.

Recorded in the front bedroom, No. 2 Dolphin Cottages, Wanborough, in January 1985.

    Engineered by Colin Moulding.

Released on 2 February 1987 as a B-side to the The Meeting Place 12" single in the U.K.

Also released on Coat of Many Cupboards.

    Best,

  • This is from a rehearsal in Andy's shed some time before they started to record Nonsuch. And it was recorded from July to October 1991. (Released April -92).

  • Yes, but only on iTunes in the US.

  • oh...arent they just great!!

  • He's thinking, "Colin's writing is getting better, I must stop him!"

  • Even in a shed with no frills, amazing. Love them. I wonder what Andy was thinking about, he seems distracted.

  • I love this, it's one of my favorites by Colin Moulding. Is there any chance anyone has the demo version that they could post or pass along? This song and Don't Hurt A Bit (never heard the demo of that one either) are like brother and sister tunes. What a great band.

  • Does anybody happen to know where I could find Colin's song "Find the Fox"? I just heard it on my copy of Coat of Many Cupboards, and it really surprised me. (Seemed to belong on Jethro Tull's Heavy Horses rather than in the dregs of XTC's vault.) Didn't make it to an album or even past demo did it? Eh, if anyone has any more info, I'd appreciate it.

  • For those of you who haven't heard "Didn't Hurt A Bit", just punch in the title. I posted a demo track of it. Enjoy :-)

  • I thank you sir! Thanks to your video, I yanked this off Itunes and it is WONDERFUL! My smile is neverending.:) I miss these guys tremendously. Threw down a few beers with Dave Gregory a couple years ago...what a nice, nice guy. Thanks again, lokrume!
