Just a little comment on these 'pasteis' - the Belém shop is sort of a tourist gimmick. You can find these little things (real name: 'pasteis de nata' - these are just called 'pasteis de Belém' because they come from the Belém shop) in every single cafe and coffee shop in town and more often than not, they're better than these, not to mention cheaper...
The rest of portuguese pastry is so diverse and magnificent it really puts the pasteis to shame.
I was only able to finally taste them on my 2nd visit to Portugal. Honestly, they're literally just miniature egg-custard pies. The cinnamon powder does add a hint of awesomeness, though. And the fact that you're in Lisbon!
Nice videotour.
