GAEL GARCIA BERNAL TROUBLED BY BORDERS

In the film Babel a tragic accident in Morocco involving a vacationing American couple played by Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett causes a chain of events in Japan and Mexico. Gael Garcia Bernal plays the rebellious brother of Pitt and Blanchett's Mexican nanny who drives intoxicated across the United States-Mexican border with his sister's American charges in the back seat. Gael, who was born in Guadalajara talks about the ongoing problems with illegal immigration that may never be resolved.

I totally agree with him. The huge number of people trying to migrate to the US is a result of global economic trends. If all the money were in mexico, im sure people from the US would try make there way down there too.

The song is called "Cumbia sobre el Rio" by a local artist named "Celso Piña" who plays what we call colombian music, not because the music is from Colombia, is just a term for the inlfuence of native colombian music in this particual kind of mexican music....Also in the song sings a local raper...By local I mean Monterrey México wich is where I live.....cheers.
