On Monday, the PS22 Chorus helped add some holiday cheer to the Saks 5th Avenue Windows Unveiling in Manhattan. The kids gave a Christmas-themed performance, singing some holiday classics as well as some of their biggest hits thus far this year. It was an amazing time for the kids and for all who were lucky enough to witness the performance, including Phil Donahue, Marlo Thomas, Fern Mallis, and Nannette Lepore. Also on hand to perform was Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, Kristen Chenoweth, who performed a beautiful version of "I'll Be Home For Christmas." A fantastic night!

This was the opening number of their performance. "Fireflies" by Owl City. Kids rock it big, as do soloists Justin F. and Kayla S., who are also sounding more awesome with each performance! I actually really like it with the guitar -- can't decide which version I like best.... I guess that's the mark of a great song, when any which way you arrange it, it sounds great. That and the mark of a talented group of kids!

  • a punk? no. he'll get there though.. these kids are great. really inspiring. i hope a lot of them end up getting involved in the local all ages music scene which i'm sure is vast in new york.. all the good things in my life have come from music and my local music scene, so it's good to see kids so interested in music knowing there's a chance they could end up doing this for a long time.
