Steve Severin, by Pippin Sparks. From her album "Newsprint Advisor". Track 5 of 10. All parts played and sung by Pippin Sparks. Lyrics by Pippin Sparks.
The title refers to Steve Severin, bassist for British rock group Siouxsie and the Banshees. The lyrics have no connection to him; the artist merely named the song after him as a way of showing her appreciation of his work and because she liked the way his name sounded. Basically, it's because I like the records he was on and he's got a cool name. The unusual stringed instrument featured in this song is an autoharp.
The first photograph is the album's front cover (depicting the artist sitting with an autoharp). The second photograph is its back cover (depicting her at a piano with her toy hyena).

I came across this by mistake. I think this is a wonderful song. You have a dark and haunting voice.
