There is another video of chick peas with this but on this one there is also the sound of blackbirds. A cat had come creeping into their territory. There are two different calls, a sharper, harder sound and the quieter one that sounds a bit like someone calling 'help'. Could that be where the word, help, comes from, by imitation of these birds?
The plants didn't grow very tall but did bear pea pods, which I'm looking forward to harvesting eventually. August 25th.
The chick peas developed seed pods but the seeds remained very small. Perhaps the climate is wrong for them here.
