I picked up a friend from Greene County Airport (I19) in Xenia, OH and we flew to Grimes Field (I74) in Urbana, OH for breakfast at the Airport Cafe. It was a standard October morning in SW Ohio, which is to say the visibility was infinite and the weather was pristine.
We landed (touch and go) in Bellefontaine (EDJ) after breakfast and then flew back to Red Stewart Airfield (40I) in Waynesville, OH. Enroute we flew over top of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and saw a C-5 Galaxy that was practicing approaches a few miles off our right wing.
There's nothing like looking at the beautiful foliage from a small plane during good fall weather!
Good to hear John Lane's voice still over the radios!
