Fruit Fly Trap Part I

This is what Chia does when I'm napping to keep himself entertained. It's an apple-cider vinegar trap for some odd 20 fruit flies living in the old apartment. We got sick of them and sought action. Well, at least Chia did. Part II is a must see. Enjoy!

Love the commentary !!!!! You had to many holes in the Saran wrap . Add a piece of fruit too.

this trap design works great actually! Just don't bother with the plastic wrap and add a little water and liquid dish soap to the apple cider vinegar. I made two about an hour ago and they each have about 15 flies drowned in them now. Step 2: do the dishes and take out the garbage >.<

I used a plastic throwaway/recycling bowl from my oriental soup after it was empty. I only poked ONE hole in the Saran Wrap and placed another flap of plastic nearby but folded open. When the fly went in I closed the Saran Wrap flap over it to seal the hole and trap it inside and either slightly swished it to make it fall in or I nuked it (yes, in my microwave!) Afterwards I opened the flap to let it vent or replaced the plastic wrap as it sometimes became less 'attractive' to those fruit flies

I saw a couple of these fly trap how to videos and i think im just going to spend the 2 dollars at lowes for a fly trap.
