The Daedalus and oOrion are in a fight with two hive ships, the orion being an ancient warship, is not fully functional.
the fight turns up to be not what they planned, but they do receive something in return in episode 2.

@Edocsil6437 i Hit enter too earl...yTechnically... the Alterans are the Ancients... the Ancients built Atlantis... it just survived for millions of years... the ancients and alterans are no different... just when they existed and the fact that they changed their name to Lanteans.... after Lantea...

So in effect they are these same people. Different ages in time, just updated technology... and as to why you think Ancient tech sucks, they need more ZPMs they are near impossible to find sadly :(

Poor Major Lorne. He was a Major all the way through SG-1 and Atlantis, and the only time he got to do anything awesome his ship got blew up in five minutes b/c Lantian technology SUCKS!!! He served on an SG team (I think it was SG-5, but i'm not sure) and was never promoted. He was stuck babysitting archeologists on an SG-1 episode, and after that he had to listen to that jerk Shepherd for 5 years. This man deserves a medal. Or at the very least he deserves one promotion in ten years!!!

can't stand Atlantis's ancient stuff. It's a disgrace to SG. I prefer to think there are 3 different ancient races: the Lantians (Pegasus), the Ori, and the Alterrans (Milky Way.) Anyway, the timeline's all wrong. Alterrans ascended MILLIONS of years ago. Lantians ascended ten THOUSAND years ago.
