  • I am a Lennon fan but Paul wasn't "made" by Lennon. The guy was very much his own powerhouse musically. One might not like him personally but he was a fully realized musical force when he met John.

  • @observer9670 I had no idea that "Name & Address" was written for Elvis! I like that song a lot, but I can see Elvis not being into at that time. Elvis was recording much more contemporary soft-rock by then. "Name & Address" is a very rockabilly kind of tune.

  • Around 1975-76, Paul wrote a song for Elvis called "Name And Address".  But Elvis' management returned the demo with a form letter. Paul later recorded the song with Wings for the London Town album.
