  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Finns also turn their guns on their former German allies after they refused to leave Finland?

  • thats correct :)

  • Har du sett Band of Brothers?

    Älskar verkligen Band of Brothers..

  • Glory to the brave Finns!

  • Civilians who could not be regarded as Finns were gathered from the battle zone to camps. Out of 30000, 3000 died due to lack of food and medicin. Not even Finnish civilians had enough. Tell us about the purges of Finnic people since the beginning of the 20th century. How many? Ingrians 60000 people alone vanished, moved to Finland also.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 Lappland War

  • In history, Finland mostly wins cause these lands are too worthless for Russians. Russia has plenty of frozen landscapes already. Latvia and Estonia have always been more "erotic" targets for Russians. Obtaining opening to the sea and Europe- 400 years ago it meant everything. Finland is also historically worthless for agriculture.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 I've read that the finns and germans had an informal agreement that the germans would leave to lapland, but the Soviet Union made the finns turn their guns on their former brothers in arms.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 not willingly. the soviet union demanded finns to attack against germany.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 nazis also burned down lapland whilst fleeing

  • @TheGreaterGood80 Actually...

    1) The Germans weren't the allies of Finns, but co-belligerents, brothers in arms fighting against a common enemy.

    2) The Germans attacked us first, to which we retaliated with the amphibious landings at Tornio, to the Germans rear. This initiated the true Lapland War. Until then, Finns and Germans had worked together in the German retreat out of Finland.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 soviet demand was that german forces would have to be driven from lapland, at first finns just shot in the air few times singnaling that they're coming and germans would retreat but then soviets got aware of this and demanded that finnish would have to be hostile towards germans and so on

  • My question is, what happened to REAL stuff, like - Suomen puolesta 1939 -1945

    - Continuation War 1st. (1/7) etc.

    - Continuation War 1 st. Part, (1/45), (15/45), etc.

    - Jatkosota, osa 1, etc.

How much it cost....just wondering aloud...

  • i would be on the side of finland
