Crayola's My First Crayola line is designed to introduce toddlers to all types of arts & crafts tools and supplies. My First Crayola Washable Crayons have a chunky design, making them easy for toddlers' small hands to grasp and helping develop fine motor skills. Each crayon holder is an animal character: a blue panda and a red pig. The rounded crayon holders help children with what Crayola calls Stage 1: Palm Grip. The holder fits right in a child's palm, and when a child's fingers fold over the crayon in a grip, he or she can color, scribble, and create his very first works of art. The crayons come in packs of two and use Crayola's triangular crayons. As the crayon wears down, push the button on the top of the holder and twist to advance or retract the crayon.
Just because his kid can't grip a crayon doesn't mean everyone else can't either

These are such a waste of money. They are too bulky for little hands and by the time they can use them, they can move onto regular crayons. Save your money.
