Depth was right there. The weight actually felt pretty easy. Walkout was the hardest part, but not as bad as before the AC

  • You are the real Deal, You put all the others to shame including me! and it hurts, but i am coming! Slowly but surely I'm coming!

  • @RedWildz I previously thought that his suit would have given more support out the hole than raw rather than the opposite way around. Thanks for letting me know it's the opposite with heavier weights. I guess I'll keep away from the high numbers and suits as I only squat atg.

  • @Wiegieboard

If he could do it unsuited, raw, then yes, it is a possibility. But in these cases the lifter is usually proficient in maximizing the parallel squat -- not so much in power and explosion as are so necessary in an ATG. There are quite a few factors to consider at these ridiculously heavy weights.

  • @RedWildz so what you're saying is that if he can take 90lbs or so more than that weight for a single, he can probably go atg with that weight?

  • Contrary to popular powerlifting belief those guys in suits are not necessarily the strongest squatters in the world. They squat in a way that takes full advantage of their suit. This allows them to put anywhere from 200 to 300, even close to 400 in some cases, onto their squat.

Using full depth on the squat will usually take 90 pounds or more off your squat max, if you are proficient in both techniques and have balanced muscle development. Hence it is rare to see ATG above 800.

  • Has no-one squatted 915 atg before? Even the guys who squat 1200lb plus to comp depth?

  • @Wiegieboard

So... you're saying you think this guy could ATG squat 915 pounds... thereby essentially making him the strongest squatter in the world? o_O

  • jesus....

  • very solid squatting. I bet you could have taken that one ATG without much trouble. Great lifting!

  • @lafreakinlakers I have to disagree with you i dont think it has anything to do with attention getting. For some getting pumped up like will help them get the weight up, for others it wont have any affect. I am being completely honest when i say that i dont even know how to lift quiet like that, the noise just comes, dont get me wrong i have to say im impressed he just did a 915 squat silently. Just dont assume people are trying to get attention for grunting
