Singapore Workers' Party Song 2011

an unofficial self composed song written for Singapore Workers' Party by local band Playgroundz. Inspired by the spirit and strength of the people and the Party.
This is the first time i feel myself as a Singaporean. Sometimes i am not sure who i am anymore. i thank Worker's Party for the hope they have given to me
and letting me feel there is future for my home once again.

The creators are concerned citizens with no affiliation to any political party.

"... they say that a young couple can earn a HDB flat without having to save for downpayment and the monthly credit payment is minimal. Even if we were to accept that this is true, he forgot to say that they will need to pay for their flat for 20 to 25 years, this means that they can only start saving for their old age when they are already in their 40s or 50s. So most people will probably have to work to their graves, as they cannot afford to retire. " WP

"........the PAP likes to tell us, that we Singaporeans should count ourselves lucky to have PAP talents serve in our government, in fact, i think it is the other way around, the PAP should count itself blessed to to have us as citizens. " WP

" ......... we expect no free lunch, we work hard and try to adept ourselves to all sorts of changes that are faced at us at lightning pace, the least we can expect of the government is to treat the citizens fairly, but does the PAP government do that? When it comes to upgrading of HDB estates and flats, the PAP government makes the Opposition constituency go to the back of the upgrading queue. Opposition constituency have to wait longer, even if the flats are just as old. " WP

"....if you elect workers party MPs to represent you, we promise we will serve you wholeheartedly and to the best of our abilities" WP

".....unless there are checks and balances in our political system, we cannot claim to be a first world country, that is why the Workers' Party manifesto for this election is, vote workers party towards a first world parliament." WP
