I'm sorry but this is not embedding! You are simply adding videos to your powerpoint

The video is NOT embedded in the PPT. Rather, it is PLACED (LINKED). What this means is that the PPT file NEEDS the accompanying video file to remain alongside it. If you delete the mp4 video file, for example, the video that you placed into PPT will NOT play. Very important to keep in mind. If the video WAS actually embedded, then you wouldn't need the mp4 file anymore, you could just trash it and it would still play in the PPT. Just a clarification.

@sdesign9 I'm pretty sure you will still need to have an internet connection to play the video.

@MrJy93 Nope. As long as you've gotten the mp4 successfully created and saved onto your computer, you could terminate your internet connection right there - no internet connection needed after creating and getting the file. The mp4 is an actual file local on your machine now. The PPT will need that physical file linked to the presentation (the video won't play without it). All you need the internet connection for is to find what video you'd like and to create/save an mp4 out of it. Good luck!

@sdesign9 that is what this video is about. converting the YouTube video to a file that is supported on a Mac and then used in a PPT, on a Mac. I think we are misunderstanding each other :)

Did you place the video or did you embed the video? theres a big difference.

@REVOLT973 What's the difference? It is embedded in the powerpoint.
