Great video. I followed your instructions and replaced it in less than half an hour. I did not raise the car up though. It was a little tight, but I was able to replace it fine with the car on the ground.

Its nice that Chevy made it so easy to replace, but, these belts routinely last 2-3 times as long on Japanese cars, what gives?

@ahausheer That was my car. I bought it because it was dirt cheap. It was a Korean
P.O.S. Chevy Aveos are mfg by Daewoo. The whole car was pretty much disposible. I didn't exect it to last long & wasn't surprised that it needed a belt so soon. That being said, the car held up to my abuse & got good mpg's. Now I've got a Silverado.

Why you didn't 1-3 label? Why you didn't install new timing belt tensr and timing belt idler? I think it important parts.

@zaebaliize I wasn't replacing the timing belt. I was replacing the serpentine belt. I didn't have the timing belt cover off. Why should I replace unrelated parts that aren't bad, or due for service?
