i read the book. but the trailer for the movie looks interesting. i never seen the movie before.

@nadiiyaa Plus there's a huge use of foreign words in the middle of the book. Probably because the author ran out of ideas and had to keep the audience from falling asleep. The idea of Soraya running away is useless and has a lot of week parts. His description of their first night reminds of a soft porn story. Overall, the book is not that horrible and has some good parts. It's like a pile of crap with a thousand dollar bill hidden under it. You have to get stinky to get rich.

@nadiiyaa it is a typical "make you feel good at the end" type of book. Nothing special. There is a clear bias theme. The author doesn't exactly explains why the war has started and practically all he stops intersects with the theme after Baba gets shot by that Russian dude, while the 10 years of Talib tyranny are left behind the curtains and slightly explained by Hassan's son being raped.

I am still readind the book.....im on the part where rahim khan gives amir the letter n picture. I am really hoping to watch the movie. Can som1 plz tell me where i can find the movie........... please.......:)

Reshreshingly different to the usual American movies.
I read the book after watching the film and the film follows the book quite well except there is a lot more graphic detail in the book.
Definitely a good movie & good book despite it being quite heart wrenching in places.
