i built this pond by hand all by myself(except the bulk of the hole, i used a back hoe i borrowed from work)
costs:
ultraguard liner 20mil 35'x50'@$.36sqft $630

fiber underlayment $324

freight shipped to nearest warehouse $156

sump pump, 3500gph 2"in/outlet around $400 + $20month

filter/skimmer, $399+tx (what a rip-off)

all plumbing, electical wiring, outlets, etc. less than $100

the 'almost' completed pond. summer of 2007. ***33' long 23' wide 6' deep*** and according to pondmarket.com 34000gal adjusted for ledges 30000gal. i had no idea.

@jordan628trisha last years winter i killed all my koi and channel cats(didn't leave an opening in the ice). haven't had time or money and to frustrated to care. when i get some money maybe i'll get my heart into it again... got to fix the "too much sun hitting my pond" problem...

Heh love your pond and the waterfall is sweet sad too hear about you losing your fish. I would really consider getting a UV sterilizer and some clarifier that water is muck. other then that love it and I hope you'll get the fish love back. Peace. If only I knew the people you must know in the biz that in itself with the rock and equipment saved you thousands.
