@duhdonutman I have lived in NC for all of my life. Sure they're are shortcomings but in the balance it's GREAT! I have never seen NC a winter like the one we have now. No snow, enough rain to keep the soil wet. We've got nearly every wild animal that's native to NC & from other places like coyotes. The county people told me they were here in abundance & plenty of deer for the hunt. Beaver, turkey, ground hogs, red tailed hawks, enoumous vultures & ravens as big as chickens. Wild life paradise

i'm not a NC native, but reside here now and have visited every part of the state and can say there's a part of the state for all. the mountains are exceptional all times of year, but compared to the rockies they're hills. the beaches are nice, but don't expect to find a strip with much of a night life. Charlotte, is nice if you want a major city feel. NC is gorgeous in spring and fall, a good place to raise a family or retire, an excellent place for collegiate options, and good for sports.

I shouldn't try to write while so verclumped, but my partner and I are packing now and putting our house on the market. I was born in NC and have always missed it. 50 years, Fla, Calif. and Oregon have been on my path back to North Carolina. I'm 72 now and I believe you can always go back home.

I didn't know he grew up in NC. Didn't have the typical accent of an NC.

I don't get the negatives here...why come and watch to be negative? He's got one of the most beautiful male voices I know and the song is lovely.
