It's hard to say goodbye to pets. I said goodbye to the family tabby cat Tika in November 2010. She had been around since I was seven years old, so I remember the first few days without her in the house was weird.

He looks just like my kitty! So cute! She passed last Dec RIGHT after Christmas, and I came home and found her. She was a good friend though, as I'm sure Abner was to you! Here's to looking forward to seeing both our furry friends once again someday after we pass. :)

The hardest time I had losing a pet was when my dog Ralph died in 2002. He was only seven years old and I not only wish I had gotten the chance to say goodbye, as he had died at the vet's clinic overnight, but I wish he had lived to old age.
I'm sorry for your loss. Abner looked like a beautiful cat! May he be in peace.

It's really tough losing them at all, but to lose them when they're still pretty young...!

I had to make the same decision recently. It is a hard one. I know you have no regrets except as you say, Abner is gone. I feel the same way about Archie.

I just caught this and I'm so sorry! I had to let find a new home for Tally (Kane is allergic) but I was a mess for days and she is still OK and actually happy to not be near my spawn anymore. Cats are just special creatures and such a blessing for the time they are with us.
