This is for you, Daddy...

My Father's Day gift to my life-long hero.

When I was a baby I thought the way he could hold me up above his head was heroic. When I was a little girl I thought the way he could fix everything was heroic. When I was a teenager and he'd come home from his police work with battle-scars and thrilling tales I thought he was heroic. When I grew up and he taught me how to fix my classic car and shoot a gun I thought he was heroic. And today, as I watch him fight against Parkinsons Disease every single day and STILL be like a massive kid with a strength I've never seen matched and a heart that never stops loving and a courage he's always had... today I can say I grew up under the wings of a real hero.

I love you Pops. Thanks for making me who I am... the son you never had ;)

I can't watch this vid. Eight seconds into it I started to tear up. If I cried I would have ended up with a headache, my stomach would hurt, my eyes would be swollen for an hour, yada yada yada. You shouldn't be so good at this. Urgh lol
