@drwav Hater. The impulses on the Liquid are actually fantastic. It's not going to sound EXACTLY like the actual thing, but most of them (especially the Red models and most of the compressors) sound so close to the real thing, that it's well worth the money. This is a very creatively engineered product, sorry you don't have a good taste in gear! ;)

Just installed this pre at NGM production studio ... wow - awesome preamp. It's hard to really know if the models sound like the real thing, but all of the "patches" have a great quality to it. There are some pro preamps at the studio, like Trident, Avalon, SPL, LA Audio, Manley and this Liquid Channel might be one of the best ! Thanks Focusrite.
