The Liquid Channel is undoubtedly the most revolutionary product to grace the recording community for many years. The Liquid Channel transports classic front-end processing into the digital age, removing the need for endless patching and adding fluidity and reliability to the studio environment. Quite simply, The Liquid Channel is able to emulate combinations of the finest mic-pres and compressors in history, inside a single 192kHz 2U device.

  • @kraig800i Good, Good! -.-

  • How is the output recorded ?

  • @drwav Hater. The impulses on the Liquid are actually fantastic. It's not going to sound EXACTLY like the actual thing, but most of them (especially the Red models and most of the compressors) sound so close to the real thing, that it's well worth the money. This is a very creatively engineered product, sorry you don't have a good taste in gear! ;)

  • What a HUGE waste of money.

  • That's exciting, I'm using one in the next couple weeks, guess I'll start collecting some emulations!

  • Thaks for posting a concise and focused (no pun intended!) report on this piece of kit. I am using the Saffire Liquid 56 in my studio... this must be the next step!!

  • Just installed this pre at NGM production studio ... wow - awesome preamp. It's hard to really know if the models sound like the real thing, but all of the "patches" have a great quality to it. There are some pro preamps at the studio, like Trident, Avalon, SPL, LA Audio, Manley and this Liquid Channel might be one of the best ! Thanks Focusrite.
