    Kendrick Perkins so he's obviously already outplaying the starting center, but Perkins has a big contract. It would probably insult his pride and make him lose his motivation if he has to come off the bench. Also Thabeet fouls too much to play starters minutes.

    That's probably not happening any time soon. His PER is more than double that of Kendrick Perkins so he's obviously already outplaying the starting center, but Perkins has a big contract. It would probably insult his pride and make him lose his motivation if he has to come off the bench. Also Thabeet fouls too much to play starters minutes.
