A tribute to Marion Davies, the silent film comedian overshadowed by her relationship with newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst. Their relationship was the basis for the 1941 film, "Citizen Kane".

I don't own the music or pictures.

  • Very nice tribute! Don't forget about Marion Davies marathon Monday on Turner Classic Movies! Starting at 6 a.m. and going all day long. What a great career she had.

  • Thanks for the tip and the compliment!

Thank for the "Happy feet"very great song .

  • nicely put together clip! Thumbs up for that!

  • Not to nitpick, but to correct the false impression that Citizen Cane's Susan Alexander was based on Ms. Davies, Orson Wells wrote in 1975: "To Marion Davies she bears no resemblance at all. As one who shares much of the blame for casting the shadow of Susan Alexander, I rejoice in this opportunity.... Marion Davies was one of the most delightfully accomplished comediennes in the whole history of the screen. She would have been a star if Hearst had never happened."
