As fear of lethal radiation from Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant is increasing, we look at the future of atomic energy.

  • Nicely chaired and some interesting points raised. I have lost whatever respect I had for Greenpeace and FotE over the past few days. They have mastered the use of sensationalism and factual distortions. They've have exploited the overall situation in Japan mercilessly, without any attempt to separate one issue from another.

Kudos to Mr Tucker for attempting to remain prosaic, even if I don't agree with his position entirely...

  • I'd like AlJazeera to follow this up with fact checking. Two guys going back and forth calling each other liars is not a good way to be informed on an issue.

  • EVERYONE GOOGLE MOLTEN SALT THORIUM

  • For twenty years Damon has been butthurt over the fact that nuclear energy is beating his mutual stocks in coal... Give it up Damon

  • Damon Moglen fighting like a little kid.

  • Mr Tucker sounds like a petulant child. His dismissal tactics are amaturish at best.

  • WOW. people are idiots...It is either nuclear energy, or coal energy. With a growing population, we cant survive with only clean, or safe energy. Yes, the clean energy DOES need to continue so we can make it efficient, but..... If we dont have any energy right now, we cant make it more efficient. but the thing is, nuclear energy is WAY ahead of the race right now. The other guy that was running the debate was obviously on the no nuclear power side, and giving crap questions to the other guy

  • @instantproducts BUU BUUU!! Stop crying and Go back to your cave you fucking Nearthental.

  • Intsead, it's going to be the Battle of the 'Experts". Professor ______ from the Univ. of ______. The author of various books. Their latest: ________________. With formats like this, who needs news directors?

  • Now, instead of an actual discussion of facts about nuclear power, it's only going to be endless screaming heads MSM hype.

It's amazing that some actually think that Rachel Maddow and others at MSNBC will actually openly criticize GE (their parent firm and the maker of many nuclear plants worldwide). Do you seriously think that GE management will tolerate anything that affects their stock? I don't think so.
