Dobermans are personal guard dogs and very protective of the family and home. Louie lets baby Rocco mangle his face and Louie just takes it. Louie gets very upset if strangers approach baby Rocco. If you want a family dog that can kick ass then the Dobie is the way to go. There is a Doberman rescue in Filmore CA if anyone is interested.
