  • May I ask how do you get the data from the simulator variometer to output into the external DIY item?

Did you have to customize the simulator's program by manual scripting?

  • @minotarr

Check the forum link in "More Info"

  • hahahahahahahahahaha "let's say noodles was on the menu for a while there :-) " epic!

lol well keep up the great work! and i think the "Variometer" or as i know it " vertical speed gauge!" needs a little calibration ...but amazing work! weldone! i wanna see the final fully assembled cockpit already!!!

just wondering ...how much was the CNC? but regardless ...you have picked the best sim VC to emulate! its the most detailed sim there is!

  • Yep, it tends to drift a little, might have to go to a stepper instead of a servo. Then again, might be some slippage of the belt.

It was not cheap, about 2200GBP + accessories and freight but then again the resell value doesn't differ to much from the sticker price so it's ok.

  • the rate and detail you are making this at ....i wouldnt be surprised if you end up with a full scale/FLYABLE ( real world flyable ) Black-shark!

keep up the great work! you should show us how you actually build these panels and gauges

and how did you get your hands on a milling machine?

  • I guess you've seen the previous vids on the cnc of the parts?

Anyway, I've got a new video in the works were I disassemble the Variometer so that people can see all the parts.

Getting a CNC? - that was easy. I just called Arc EuroTrade and ordered one....getting the money for it, well let's say noodles was on the menu for a while there :-)

  • @KA50Oakes Ah, now I saw what is used, I had just skimmed through previously and did not notice there were posts about both input and outputs. Thanks, that was very interesting.

    Keep up the good work!

  • btw, had a look at your channel, awesome stuff you made, congratulation about your skills.
