don't forget, brodeur is from montreal, canada. he's a solid goalie, more of a defensive kind of game. the ''devils'' always have been a remarkable and defensive hockey team for a decade and a half and got 3 out of 4cups in the finals.

i think he was within 10 wins of pasing Roy's record for most wins for a goalie in NHL history

and NJ devils r a great team with or without him but having a goalie like him just makes them almost unstopable

they both have amazing glove hands and there is really no way to compare who had the better one. and are u kidding? roy basically won the whole satnley cup for the 1993 canadians and after roy retired the avalanche haven't won a division title since, and considering how well the devils are playing without brodeur i think roy could carry his team alot farther than brodeur can

brodeur has the bhest glove hand ever everyone tries everyone messes up roy didnt play after the lockout thats when it got harder for butterfly goalies brodeur is amazing to still be doing half butterfly and roy didnt have the skill of keeping a team in the game when they play as bad as new jersey did since 03

thats not true at all. goalies use the butterfly all the time and if YOU didnt know roy had an amazing glove hand and played about 3 seasons and did great in this era of hockey

if you didnt know it was easy for roy since he was the first butter fly goalie and everyone shot low back then if he would play in this age he would be horrific

roy played in a totally defirent era with smaller pads and up against harder people like gretzky, howe, lemiux etc. he only got a taste of about 4 seasons of the time frame brodeur is playing in. all goalies rack up alot more wins now then they used too. Roy's feats for his time were amazing, something brodeur would have probably never accomplished although he is the 2nd greatest goalie of all time. no doubt brodeur is still great!
