@M3ssageT4k3n take for example the hybrid snare side head, it has both kevlar and mylar to get a good tone while having exceptional strength and wont detune. the for set there is the hydraulic head which has oil between the two plys to give the head a flat sound with like ring and overtones. all you see with remo is one and two ply heads. nothing special. so yeah you can put a lot more technology into heads and it is extremely important which is why evans is more advanced and better.
@M3ssageT4k3n are you serious? technology isnt like a computer all the time.. im talking about materials to put into the head to make it stronger and sound better. different head thinknesses to get different tones. evans used technology like their SST material in the system blue head and their EC tenor head to control overtones. that technology is an advancement to the industry. and it not only tenor heads, its snare heads and set heads..
@masterdrummer19 i get what you are trying to say but "i just think evans has more technology and advancements in their heads so you can actually gets a good variety of sounds." makes absolutely no sense. you cant really advance a tennor head.. its a piece of plastic. also technology is irrelevant and means nothing where you said it
@M3ssageT4k3n well i guess thats your opinion but i like evans all around.. i mean you can match the clarity that comes from lines like BD, bluecoats and rhythm X. but if you like remos thats your opinion. i just think evans has more technology and advancements in their heads so you can actually gets a good variety of sounds.
