CENTRALVALLEYFOOTBALL.COM — Hoover WR/CB/KR Malcolm Smith usually is the smallest player whenever he takes the field, but he is also clearly one of the toughest. He got absolutely hammered on this kickoff return by 6-foot-1, 250-pound, Division I college prospect Rykeem Yates, but pops right up like nothing ever happened.

This is a special kid, most players of ANY size would have stayed down on the ground after that hit.

Most 5-foot-5 football players are a liability, especially at corner. But Smith is routine assigned to cover the other team's best or even tallest receiver and holds his own. Hopefully college coaches can get past his size and look at his skills.
