Proscar,cutting into quarters

You`re better off asking these questions on my hairloss forum,

But you can cut into quarters or fifths, only cut one pill at a time as you use it.

i dont understand, by what you mean . 'miss a day and repeat' why cant u just continue on the 1/4 pill?

The dosage is suppose to be 1mg a day, the pills are 5mg, when you take a quarter 4 times in a row you have had your allowance, hence you can miss a day as its still in your system working. If you take it continuously you will have to check with your doctor as this means you are increasing the daily dosage, hope that makes sense.

@highlowwatha oh i thought you meant, miss a day and youll have to repeat with another pill as in take a new pill. what you meant was, SKIP a day and repeat. I will talk to the doctor about this. i am on my first month with propecia and it is costing me too much. 70 a month is not for me. Are u skipping with your finasteride? and will it be effective enough?

Yea thats what i mean, skip a day. If you`re in the uk ask your GP tp prescribe it as it will be far cheaper.

Yea there are side effects if you are unlucky enough to experience tem,just google it and you`ll see.

@Trinder3467 Ive been on proscar for a little over a month and a half. Give it time! Hair will start to fall out, but new stronger hair grows in its place. Dont let bitter people discourage you about hairloss. The sex drive issue affects 5% of men!

@RICCIO5000 Okay, but how are you doing hair-wise? Did it really regrow hair or changed the density in any way? I was prescibed Proscar too, and also was asked to cut it in 4 pieces. Have you been taking it long? I still am afraid to use it since the internet has been bashing it for ages. Were you also told that discontinuing the drug will eventually bring your hair back to its weakened thinning roots. Kind of like Rogaine they said. I'm very confused about this drug.

I just got this, should I take the whole pill, or quarter it too? Will it work better if I take 5mgs instead of 1.2mgs?

I just bought 30 tablets, so that would be a 4 month supply if I quarter them. How long before I see results or hair loss stopping??
