@SeanSM92 I do REM covers with a 76 ash Tele through a Roland Jazz Chorus amp with a little delay and lots and lots of chorus. These guys nailed it.........and well executed! TSR
There is an interview of Peter Buck (sometime in 1984 or 85) in Guitar Player, where they asked him: Which guitars on which songs? His answer was he aimed for a sound or color and then tweaked everything to get it (guitar, amp, effects, etc.). He found that unique, chorusy, jangly, refreshing (at least then) REM sound. The Rick was the easiest to achieve this with, with a close second to the Tele. He toured with both but found the Tele more durable.
great cover!
