Nice! I'm not a big portage fan either. I'm still developing a good system. I Solo trip all the time and i've never really been bored either. I'f you are getting bored than you may want to take up knitting. not tripping.

looks like it was a great trip. was it your first one? did you train or are you a skilled paddler?

@futurhumen This was my first solo and I didn't train for it.... atleast not in a canoe. At the time I was pretty active at the gym, which helped a lot. I did a LOT of map research in advance having never paddled those lakes before. Guessed out a route then just went for it....
And am I a skilled paddler? I've been paddling a long time (since I was a young pup)...but this was my first chance going solo for any more than a km or two. Distance was about 75KM.
