Hi Hi Hi
We were teetering on canceling our Brighton show because Emily was soooo
sick! But she was a trooper and pulled through. The show ended being
very special because the audience was singing right along and keeping it strong.
Clare Kenny and Carol Isaacs came down from London to sit in with us.
So, that made the show even more special. We worked on some new acoustic
arrangements of songs and had a wonderful musical cram session.
After the show, an amazing trio of girls called The Half Sisters played
me (Amy) a song out on the Brighton Beach sidewalk.. I was blown away.
I think you should all google them and hear the music they're putting down.
I only wish we had caught it on video...
A special evening all the way around!
A and E

  • So do you play left handed then? : )

  • There's no right or wrong way to walk on a pavement in the UK. There used to be a rule of etiquette that the man would walk on the outside (nearest the traffic) and the woman on the inside, but I don't know how widely honoured that is now.

When walking on a road without a pavement, you walk facing traffic because you can see them and they will see your face with their headlights. Except when going round a tight bend, however - then you walk on the outside of the bend, whichever side it is.

  • It's nice to see Clare & Carol play with IG again. Love this version of Starkville. Brighton seems like a nice town - I think I was there about 15 years ago but not sure. It seems familiar. Glad this was filmed and thank you.

  • beautiful. Starkville was breathtaking.

  • I think walking in the UK is a free-for-all, best just to aim for free space and go for it. Awesome Brighton show!

    xx

  • Absolutely lovin' the video journey through your UK tour! Aww, Emily feel better, hon!! Sendin' ya healing thoughts. Amy - you're cute, witty, and incredibly talented as usual. Love and miss you guys! Safe travels ~ Rock and peace ~

  • Clare 'Actually, you're making a film in the middle of my life- fuck off!' haha omg! that was immense British humour! XD P.s. sorry if i spelt Clare/ Claire wrong = S Awesum bassist = P

  • I think you are supposed to walk facing traffic, so you can see what's coming.

  • Amy - you're awesome - thank you for letting us in on your journey and sharing your thoughts and experiences. If ever you're in Rochester, NY (or Buffalo, NY as I'm in school) you're so invited to come over for dinner - Emily too - I'll cook whatever you want.

And thank you for all you both do to educate and inform us fans about what's going on in the world and the causes that are important to you - I trust your judgment and aide your causes when possible.

    Rock on :) Liz
