I read this at a college "Poetry Jam" and mine was the only poem, out of 13 poems, that rhymed. I never went to another poetry jam.

  • Wow, just wow, I was really touched.

  • nice poem - but not all poetry has to rhyme. When I do spoken word, I usually try to rhyme if I can. I like to break rhyme to point a certain phrase or line out. But to each his own - great job

  • I disagree with you about art, but these are nice words

  • I enjoyed the poem immensely. If you have a chance, go ahead and read at any poetry meet you can. Announce before you start that your poetry is in rhyme and rhythm.

I have heard a lot of poetic prose. Some is really beautiful. I, like you, adhere to the old definition of poetry, that it must have rhyme and rhythm. I am not putting down poetic prose, but poetry is poetry.

  • nice poem, sorry to hear about the break up, but not all poems have to rhyme, or even have a beat. But GJ

  • Yeah, there is an older name for verse libre: They used to call it prose. No meter equals no poem. Hey, I hope I didn't anger you. I would like to know how the interview went with VanDamme.

  • nice poem

  • beautiful...
