This is brilliant. Your video cleverly ridicules the main Beverly Hills "arguments" in favor of putting heavy rail next to a golf course. You could have done something, however, with the city and school district claim that terrorists were going to use subway tunnels to bomb the school.

I'm disappointed in myself for watching the equally (but inadvertently) hysterical BHHS video several times before I found this. "KIDS AND METHANE . . . DO. NOT. MIX." Genius.

It is vaguely possible that under the most incredibly unlikely series of coincidences a methane fire could be ignited 70 feet down. With 70 feet of rock above it the chances that anyone at ground level would notice is very thin.

It is also vaguely possible that an airliner could crash into the campus. But policy is best decided by what is actually likely to happen, rather than fear mongering.

Mass transit is NOT about relieving traffic. It's about providing an ALTERNATIVE to the car that allows people to walk. In case you haven't noticed, driving a car is a lifestyle. Our city has just been designed to accommodate vehicles and NOT pedestrians. Building a subway isn't about relieving traffic as much as it's about giving people CHOICES to live their lives without having to drive.
