How far is this from NYC? I wanna get into Hang Gliding!

...i assumed you turned right before the
shadowed gap to avoid venturi and/or
sink. I hope to fly a ridge for 1st time
later this year.

The wind was very light so venturi was not a problem. The lift zone was concentrated in front of the ridge, a light thermal was felt in that gap early in the flight but it wasnt strong enough to climb in. Ridge soaring is a great way to build airtime and confidence. Good luck!

They run the best hang gliding school on the East Coast and their training hill is about an hour north of New York City. Chris McGuiness the flight school manager will get you started in Hang Gliding right.
