@fencore Hi Fencore.
I believe that, on his website, I saw a blog entry which was sort of like a Q+A. Somebody asked about Mountains, and I think the answer was (and this is such and EJ response which makes me respect him even more) something along the lines of him not being able to get the vocal track the way it sounded in his head, and that it sounded beautiful in his head but couldn't make it sound like that out loud, so rather than release a "lack-lustre" piece, he cut it.

I wonder why would he cut this great song... the Venus Reprise is, I think, my favourite song on the Venus Isle album... such a beautiful chord progression... really a gem.
