@coolmartcol I agree with you man, im spanish speaker (from europe, not south america) and i think english should be the only official language in the US. Its an insult for all the US people speaking a language they can't understand. Plus rubio is a system puppet not worth our attention..
Well yes, I speak five languages fluently. Yet I have no ancestral ties to the people who first spoke them. :P
Spanish was spoken in 1/6 of our country, French in 1/4 of our country, and German in 1/2 of our country (although the last one usually with English present)
@smartwarlord I speak both but I mainly speak english. America is a english speaking country so people should learn english. If I were to move to another country I would be expected to learn their language!
No one is pushing for an English only law. Such an effort would be ridiculous. Almost every country in the world has an official language de jure (or by law). The USA has it de facto.
An immigrant country requires a single language to connect everyone. It cannot afford to grant an advantage to one foreign language over another. English is the national language de-facto. It is the language of our Constitution and the only language widely spoken.

Spanish was spoken in Florida 300 years before English was. If anything, you should speak Spanish.
