Feel free to check out the original recording by CADENCE in the related videos after.
This multitrack is by far my most difficult and favorite one so far to celebrate my 30th multitrack online (including non video ones)!
After a very long week of rendering and Final Cut Pro crashing, this video is finally finished. Only now I find out that Final Cut Pro isn't designed to work on intel based Macbooks and that I've wasted a lot of time. This tune includes my brother David Fong on Bass and Baritone vocals. I sing Tenor and Lead and all of the vocal percussion as well.
This has been a very long-awaited project for me as it's been in the making for 3 or 4 months now. After emailing tracks back and forth, I finally was able to get most of it done when I was home for Christmas with my brother. This track is a cover by a Toronto-formed group called Cadence. While their album is very electronically enhanced, it has a lot of fantastic arrangements. I decided to do one with a scat solo to show a little versatility once again.
We simulated the effects used by Cadence on the tenor solo lines, and the soli sections--the old-time telephone effect.
Props to David on the awesome dancing in his video and for the nice screaming moments taken from Christmas 2007 or 2008
Enjoy!
No, this recording does not contain ANY Autotuning, melodyne, or pitch correction software. Minor equalization and reverbs applied to tracks.
Also thanks to Tristan Henderson for help with some audio editing/mixing/mastering.

Youtube can make it sound a little robotic but it sounds pretty decent in HD, you just gotta give it a bit of time to render if your internet isn't incredibly fast.
Recorded with an Apex 435 Mic through an M-audio pre usb. Audio mixed in Logic Pro, and video in Final Cut Pro
hey, whats the song your having after the song itself?

@randomstuff53 I think it's called "Green Bird" from the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks.

@Ex0P0l1t1c5 The audio that my camera is at at a different rate than that I record at. If I sync the audio (from my mic) to the video on the camera, after 30 seconds or so, it desyncs. I have to physically cut and scroll the video a couple hundredths of a second to fix it. I think I was getting irritated at this one so I just exported it the way it was with a few corrections.
