Shiv Sena activists arrested for beating lovers in Agra

Agra: At least 20 activists of the Shiv Sena were arrested on Saturday after they roughed up some youngsters to protest celebration of Valentine's Day, the Agra police said on Saturday.

Superintendent of Police B P Ashok said the Shiv Sainiks had tried to create trouble at several spots and at least 20 of them had been taken into custody under the Gangster and Goonda Act.

A group led by Shiv Sena leader Veenu Lavania had beaten up some couples, police said.

Some couples faced attacks near Mariam's tomb, a favourite haunt of lovers, close to Akbar's tomb in Sikandra, police added.
