  • Did they disable the airbags for the test? They did not deploy.

    The vehicle was on. The airbags normally won't deploy in this situation.

  • That was an inadequate test for at least two reasons. First the moose is to tall, second the legs are soft and the moose is dangling i wires. I have seen many cars that hit a moose and almoust every time the moose hit the windscreen. Never the less: It´s not recommended to hit a moose whit your car, better then to steer in to the ditch.

  • @dave11686 Airbags are deployed in accidents where the car hits something solid and it crumples; the moose's legs weren't enough to trigger the sensors.

  • @MREURONCAP I would say it's the 1997-2000 Volvo V70.
