This short video is meant to help new iOS developers to move from XCode 3 to XCode 4.

It doesn't cover all of the differences between the two versions of the IDE system, but there should be enough to get someone started.

This is not a video meant for an experienced coder who wants to dive deep into the IDE to see the differences.

  • When I choose to create a new project, it doesn't look like it is in the video.

My options are: Master-Detail Application, OpenGL Game, Page-Based Application, Single-View Application, Tabbed Application, Utility Application and Empty Application.

I was used to using Xcode 3. What happened? Why is mine different?

  • Thanks man!
