Dragon's Quarry Trucks Swirling Up Dust on Dexter Street. **Rock Dust Links below. Aren't they suppose to be applying "Dust Control Substance" to "All" gravel and dirt roads within the quarry and plant traveled roads?? Dosen't look that way. If they did, it doesn't seem to be working very well.

The buildings that you speak of are they newer buildings or old ones, possibly they are poorly constructed. Does the quarry notify the day care center when they blast? They should have blasting signals. I am sure arrangements could be made (if they are not all ready) to call the day care center prior to blasting.

I am pretty sure they are quite old, and had many blown out windows in the clinker storage building where dust billowed out of. Yes, I believe the Day Care gets a pre-blast call, or use to, and so do we, but it still catches us off guard if we don't pay attention to the clock. They usually call about 15 minutes prior, but there is about a 5 minute window either way, and scares the hell out of my poor old dog no matter the time. No blasting signals, whistles, or sirens. They just stop traffic.
