08.23.08 - Ride-A-Long - Battalion 3 - Allentown, PA

Battalion Chief 3 (Scheirer) was in command at a reported fire on the second floor of the Lehigh County Court House when a box was transmitted for 205 N. 28th St. in the deep west-end for a house fire.

Ride-a-long with the battalion enroute to a house fire. Engine 9 first-in reported a fire in the basement. After investigating, Engine 9 advised the responding companies the fire was out and ordered a fire marshall to the scene.

Companies responding on the box were Engines 9,11,14, truck 1 and battalion 3. A fan was set-up at the front door to ventilate a light smoke condition in the house.

The home owner was advised that the power company would pull the electrical meter and that an electrician would have to be called in to make repairs to the service.
